Leasing
The Leasing department of DBSI manages the day-to-day operation of DBSI's portfolio of properties. The team is responsible for the management and operation of more than five million square feet of commercial and multi-family product throughout the United States. DBSI owns or controls interests in properties valued at more than $2.65 billion, including apartment projects, shopping centers, office/industrial buildings, bare land, and non-real estate operating companies.
DBSI’s in-house property management services include on-site property management, risk management, best practices, project management, maintenance, engineering and purchasing. The combined efforts of these groups and those of its carefully selected service partners are focused upon implementing the strategic plan created by DBSI. This includes maintaining and improving the portfolio’s assets, controlling costs, retaining tenants and working to drive occupancy, construct and deliver tenant spaces.
DBSI's growing portfolio, combined with the larger portfolios managed by its service partners, creates tremendous economies of scale. DBSI's Leasing department avails itself of these economies to control property service costs (i.e. janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, elevator, maintenance, insurance, real estate tax appeals, etc.) and supply costs (i.e. utilities, janitorial, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, office, etc.), reducing operating expenses for our tenants and our investors.
The results achieved by DBSI's Leasing department are retained and satisfied tenants, increased cash flow and, subsequently, increased asset value.
